EDUCATION
• Graduated from State University of Oneonta, NY 1984, with a degree in Business Economics
• Completed the necessary requirements to become a Certified Public Accountant and was licensed to practice in New York State in 1987
• Has been with the firm since 1984 and became partner in 1988
• Consistently meets and regularly exceeds the Continuing Professional Education requirements of the New York State Board of Regents
ACCOMPLISHMENTS
• Has extensive experience with S-Corporations and LLC’s which she favors most for small business operations
• Has successfully defended audits involving hobby-loss, S-Corporation wage issues, artists, and home office issues
• Has experience with farm operations of both large ranches and smaller family farms
• Has aided in complex business succession planning involving family transfers, designing transfers with key employees, as well as selling to outsiders
• Has successfully handled New York State issues including sales tax audits, Offers in Compromise and collection problems
• Provides both tax and financial advice for estate planning to all levels of clients
• Is asked by her clients to act as trustee for trusts and executrix for estates
• Time is taken to intimately understand the unique need of each client
• Handles all aspects of international taxation for individuals
• Has been successful in negotiating offers with the Internal Revenue Service on behalf of clients

Patricia A. Sperry
EDUCATION
• Graduated with honors from State University of Oneonta, NY in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and a minor in Finance
• Has been with the firm since 2004
• Regularly attends and completes continuing professional education training
• 5 years experience working in the accounting office of a local business prior to joining the firm

• Has experience in the areas of individual, business and nonprofit taxation
• Has assisted in successfully defending audits involving hobby loss and home office issues
• Provides installation, support and training of manual and computerized accounting systems
